Online Learning (Agribility)

Agribility is Gafta's online learning platform offering a range of training:

  • Short courses: Bite-size modules stand-alone modules covering a large variety of topics. Each module takes approximately 30-40 mins.
  • Distance Learning Programme (DLP): An online suite of six modules aimed at giving a detailed insight into commodity trading contracts. Each module is run 3 times a year and take 12 weeks.

Short Courses

These modules usually take around 30 minutes to complete. There is an assessment at the end of each module, based on the content learned. Successful students will receive a completion certificate.

More modules are being created all of the time, so the list of topics is constantly increasing. The current available modules are:

  • Common Difficulties with Shipping Documents
  • Enforcement
  • Fumigation
  • Futures and Hedging
  • Laytime

This form of training is easy to access and can be done whenever and wherever; it is tablet friendly so can be completed on a phone, tablet or at an office desk.

The content of the modules covers all different areas of the trade. The modules start by explaining that learning outcomes, the content is then provided through a variety of forms, including a number of interactive elements. Each module ends with a conclusion followed by the short assessment. The assessment takes the form of multiple choice questions.

All materials you will need are included within the module, including any contracts, rules and reference papers.
