Gafta offers a wide range of educational events globally; from one-day seminars & workshops to our structured training programme.
Gafta currently offers two learning routes, each of which suit a different type of student, whether you prefer face-to-face training or the comfort to study from home in your own time:
Gafta Professional Development (GPD)Face-to-face training at locations worldwide.
Distance Learning Programme (DLP)Online training that can be studied at a time to suit you in any location that you choose.
Completion of either the DLP or GPD programme provides students with the opportunity to go on to take the Trade Diploma Exam, and even progress on to become a Gafta Qualified Arbitrator.
Transferability between GPD and DLPGafta currently do not offer transferability routes between the two programmes
Time limitEither route of training must be completed in full in a maximum of 5 years in order for students to be eligible to take the Gafta Trade Diploma Examination.
Online Short CoursesGafta’s online learning platform (Agribility) provides a large variety of topics in the form of bite-size modules. These modules usually take aroud 30 minutes to complete.
SeminarsGafta run seminars on a wide range of subjects, including contract law, Gafta Contracts and Rules, topics in policy, food and feed safety, sustainability and food security, financial legislation and market updates. These are typically held in our Head Office in London, however Gafta also organise a number worldwide.
Bespoke TrainingGafta also offers in-house bespoke training on a variety of subjects, developed in a bespoke fashion to address specific trade requirements. A flat-rate fee is applied, depending on the specific requirements and the number of attending delegates.
