Gafta has been informed by ANEC - ASSOCIAÇÃO NACIONAL DOS EXPORTADORES DE CEREAIS on the 27th February of the following:
''We hereby inform, as it was widely reported by various media outlets in Brazil that, on 22nd January 2026, an indigenous movement blocked road access to Cargill’s terminal in Santarém. Subsequently, on 21st February 2026, the terminal was invaded by protesters and remained occupied until 25th February 2026, when released under Judicial order. The terminal underwent forensic examination by the Federal Police on 25th and 26th February 2026 as a condition to resume activities.''
