The EU Commission has published Regulation 3084/2024 on the functioning of the IT system to make available products and exports from EU of commodities associated with deforestation and forest degradation.

The system allows operators and traders access to the system to implement their respective obligations under EUDR.

The regulation lays down the rules for functioning of the IT system, to facilitate the transfer of info, present and access info on relevant products place on market or exported, rules and scope for protection of personal data and exchange of data with other IT systems, submission, amendment, or withdrawal of due diligence statements. The information system also allows competent authorities to set up risk profiles to identify situations within the Info systems where relevant products present high risk of noncompliance and require immediate action.
