The Gafta Council called for candidates to fill two vacancies on the Council, to replace retiring Council members: Jean-Raymond Senger and Nicola Panaro.
There are five candidates in total, whose details are on the attached ballot form, and whose candidate statements are also attached.
Members in the following categories of membership have voting rights:
(A) Trading principals in agricultural commodities and general produce
(B) Brokers who do not trade as principals
(C) Superintendent and Surveyor Members
(D) Individual Qualified Arbitrator and Individual Qualified Mediator Members
(E) Individuals engaged or who have been engaged in the trade
(F) Analysts
(G) Professional Firms
(H) Branches of Members
(J) Fumigators
(K) Trading principals in spices and general produce
Signed and completed ballot papers must be received by the Association by close of business on Thursday 9 January 2025. Members are able to return ballot papers in the following ways:

The results of the election will be announced at the Association's Annual General Meeting on Thursday 16 January 2025.
