The February 2025 edition of Gaftaworld is now on the Gafta website. New Gafta President Paul Harrison discusses his aims and priorities for the year ahead, and we are delighted to introduce Brian Arnold of The DeLong Co., Inc, who has taken over as Deputy President of Gafta.
Following the AGM in January, Gafta held a reception for the new President in Geneva on 4 February as well as a successful seminar sponsored by Covantis, "Digitalisation of agri-trade execution and the path to making electronic documents a reality". Photos from these events are included, along with an article by Covantis on the huge momentum now to transition to digitalisation "as legislation across the globe is being adjusted to recognise electronic Bills of Lading and other digital trade documents." During the seminar, key players from across global agricultural commodity trading and industry leaders came together to publicly sign an official letter promoting the advancement of digitalisation across the sector.
