As per the attached official gazette publication, companies buying local sunflower seeds within the period from 1st of July 2025 to 30th November 2025 will be granted the import quota. It  will be valid from 12th Jan 2026 – 31st May 2026 and will allow them to custom clear with lower taxes: Sunflower Oil – at 20% instead of 36 %, Sunflower Seeds - at 0 % instead of 20 %

Total of all quotas to be distributed will be 1 million MT of Sunflower Seed or 400k MT Sunflower Oil.”
