EU import tolerance policy – response from DG Sante to our letter

As you will recall, Gafta, GPC, IOSTA, European Coffee Association and European Spices Association sent a joint letter (attached) in December to several Cabinets calling for an impact assessment to be carried out and raising trade concerns.

This letter was sent prior to the publication of the Omnibus package.  

DG Sante have responded, sharing the response now. 

We are also in the process of drafting another letter reacting to the Omnibus simplification.
