APHA have informed us they are running Authorised Trade Inspector Training courses in March 2026 again, date to be confirmed. It is likely to be early-mid month and on a Wednesday or Thursday.
It would again be hosted at Fera Science Ltd: Kirkham Room 12F53, Fera Science Ltd., York Biotech Campus, Sand Hutton, York, YO41 1LZ.
And would be a full day course 9.30 to 15:15.

The course is specific for GSOP exports of Wheat, Barley and Oats to third countries using Grain standard operating protocol (GSOP) - GOV.UK
Authorised Trade Inspectors are licenced by APHA (Animal and Plant Health Agency) to inspect goods and complete forms relevant to the export of agricultural commodities from England, Wales and Scotland. Licences are valid for 5 years whether or not inspections have taken place and will be revoked after this time unless the above refresher training has taken place.
