Agribility - Sampling

All Gafta contracts contain a ‘SAMPLING, ANALYSIS AND CERTIFICATES OF ANALYSIS’ clause in which it is stipulated that “the terms and conditions of Gafta Sampling Rules No.124 are deemed to be incorporated into this contract”. This module will provide an understanding of these rules, plus an explanation of how samples are taken, and why they are taken.

By the end of this module, the learner should be able to:

• Discuss the practicalities of the sampling process and identify the appropriate process for different commodities.
• Explain why samples are taken.
• Understand the risk of mistakes in the sampling process.
• Discuss all elements of the sampling process.
