The new Liverpool Commodities Trades Association re-opened the Atlantic Newsroom, carried out by Mr Michael Heseltine at a ceremony on 26th June 1982. GAFTA was represented by Mrs E Day Lawson, a member of the Council. Morris McKen CA, Managing Director since 1969 of Thos Borthwick (Glasgow) Ltd retires after 27 years service at the company. He is a former President and Council Member of GAFTA and a former President and Board Member of the Scottish Corn Trade Association. McKean (left) is shown with his successor as MD Mr Roy Pettigrew (right), who has worked with an associated company for 16 years.’
