Ukraine - draft bills to temporarily suspend export duties on oilseeds
Two draft laws have been registered with the Parliament that would temporarily suspend export duties on soybeans, rapeseed, and sunflower seeds.
The first proposes setting the export duty rate on soybeans, rapeseed, and sunflower seeds at 0% for all exporters for a period of three years.
The second proposes setting the duty to zero as of the date the law takes effect and maintaining the zero rate until martial law is lifted or repealed, but in any case for no less than two years.
The main reason being the deterioration of economic conditions for farmers as the reason for the need to temporarily suspend the duties.
